IP1 VoIP Lines

IP1 VoIP Line Service is designed to replace traditional Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) by allowing end users to have voice and long-distance calls over a basic broadband connection while using the Internet. The simplest and most common way is through the use of a device called an ATA (analog telephone adaptor). The ATA allows you to connect a standard phone to your computer or your Internet connection for use with an IP1 VoIP Line. The ATA is an analog-to-digital converter. It takes the analog signal from a traditional phone and converts it into digital data for transmission over the Internet. Service providers are bundling ATAs free with their service. The end user simply takes the ATA out of the box, plugs the cable from the phone that would normally go in the wall jack into the ATA, and they are ready to make voice calls. Some ATAs may come with additional software that is loaded onto the host computer in order to configure it. Nevertheless, it is a very straightforward setup.
